And the Winner is.....

The I Certamen de Teatro Villa de Olvera 2009 has been a resounding success. The closing ceremony and prize giving took place on the 3rd April, and was staged as the "Olvera Oscars" with organiser Alfredo Lopez dressing for the occaision !
The winner of Best Play was the well deserved La Comunion de las Amapolas performed by Porinercia Teatro from Sevilla.
Best Actress went to Beatriz Arjona, who potrayed Marta in La Comunion de las Amapolas
Best Actor went to Jose Maria Rico Urbano "Spencer" for his portrayal of an alzheimer sufferer, , Don Cosme, in La Mirada Perdida by La Compania de Teatro Maria Zambrano from Velez-Malaga.
Olveras own El traspunte Teatro performed two works - Decenio, and the hilarious comedy Baldosas at the end of the ceremony.
